I came across an unusual-looking shelter the other day while taking a short cut in Clayton Park. When I looked under the tarp, I saw a recently-filled prescription bottle, with one pill left. I called the doctor on the label and ended up speaking with a staff person from MOSH–Mobile Outreach Street Health.
She told me all the homeless shelters in Halifax are full and the homeless are “camping out” all over Halifax. She said some of the homeless had been housed in hotels during the spring, due to Covid-19, but they were turned out again when the weather warmed up. It was an eye-opener.
